Rules
Naturally, we have rules that we expect you to follow, as with all other forums. Also, it has yet to be finished.
1. No Flaming. This means do not insult nor attack someone on this forum. Treat one another properly. If you have an issue with someone, then take it to Private Messages or to a messaging service such as MSN, AIM, YIM, and so on and so forth. Do keep any issues you have off of the forum, in both role playing areas and out of character areas, as well as the chatbox.
2. No God Modding. This is something that most all of us know in terms of what it is, and how it is done. There are some sub- branches of it, such as Mary Sues, Meta Gaming, and Power Playing. Please do not do any of these things on this forum. Here is a brief description of each, so you know what to avoid. Mary Sue - A character that cannot be stopped nor killed in any way, shape, or form. They tend to be overly powerful, very handsome, extremely rich, and rather perfect in each and every way. Try to avoid making a character like this if you are making a Custom. Meta gaming - When your character knows something they have no way of knowing. This might be something like if Cloud knew all about Squall, or Tidus knew the location of the Black Materia in Final fantasy VII, or if Kaze knew how Argus was brought back from the dead. Basically, it's when a character knows what the handler does, but has not yet found a way to learn it themselves. Power Playing - This is when you use a character never is hit by the attacks of an equal foe, a greater foe, or numerous lesser foes. They never take any damage, and can never be harmed. Try not to do this. Forced Hitting - This is when you force someone to take blow after blow from your character. You cannot force a hit upon someone, favoring more toward brutal and devastating attacks, like breaking a character's arm or impaling them. Forced Killing - This is when you for a character to die from an attack you use upon them. This is something you cannot do. You would need permission to kill a character from the person rping as that character.
3. You need your bio approved before you can start role-playing. Please note that you often need to make a better bio to get a Canon character as opposed to a custom character. This branches off into Summons and magic. If there is a Summon you wish to use, you need permission before you can obtain the summon. Keep in mind, one summon per person. Also, higher level magic needs to be approved before your character can have the Materia Crystal. The basic spells tend not to get much of a second look, but more powerful ones would need alittle thought over.
4. Please do not ask to become staff. We tend to be watchful, and determine who would be best for a position as staff based on a number of different factors. So, just keep that in mind.
5. Please do not spam this forum, be it with rather small posts, links to other forums, or general spamming. It is rude, and also tends to cause people to hate you with a burning passion.
6. Please try not to post one liners or one word posts in the roleplay area.
7. This rule is rather important, and may cause some issues and be disliked. If you have a canon character that is important to the main plot, you need to be active on the forum. not just showing up, put posting. If you can not do this, then that canon will go to someone that will be willing to be active. You can only be gone for so long before you lose your canon, but customs you an keep as long as you wish.
8. Please Role-play in the Third person style, not the First. This means that you should rp like this... " His eyes focused upon Tifa's face. " Not like this. " My eyes focused upon Tifa's Face. " This tends not to be a problem, but best say it now, and get it out of the way.
9. Yes, your character can have a relationship, and perhaps even children. But, you cannot role play out any sex between your character and his or her mate. You will need to do a Time Skip, or Fade to Black, which starts when they are ready to have Sex, before getting nude or too much touching, and ends after they have finished. If you're confused as to what qualifies as appropriate, just follow the PG-13 rule. As for being pregnant, that will be covered later on.
10. Limit breaks: Your character can use His/Her limit break ONCE a thread. From then on your character MUST take damage in order to recharge his/her limit break. For a weaker limit break, you could take some light damage, like cuts, bone bruises, being generally pummeled. For a stronger limit break... you need things like Gashes, broken bones, stab wounds, internal bleeding... you get the picture. And If your character is close to death... you get a last ditch effort of a limit break, which is usually more powerful... as who isn't when they know they aren't going to live much longer.
There are more to come, and some of what we have will be expanded upon.
11. No Custom Races.
Another rule to keep in mind. It is preferred that you only have one canon of each world, due to the sheer number of canons and worlds there are. Also, it would be preferred as well that you only have three canons total. This rule will be refined by the staff, but will also include summons, just so that everyone can get some canons and summons.
12. No Sephiroth Clones
This is a rule that is very heavily enforced. All of the Sephiroth clones died during the second disc of FFVII, on their way to the Northern Crater. Hojo did not create any more of them. Also, Kadaj and his brothers are dead. There are no more members of the project in existance, and none hidden away. As such, there are no clones of Sephiroth.
13. No Demons or Angels.
Granted, some enemies are known as demons, like the Demongate and Demonwall. But, in the new world, there are no actual demons or angels. There is only ONE exception to this, which is Isrieal. However, the closest thing to an Angel is the Aegyl race, and the closest to a demon would be a Fiend from FFX.

14. Memory Loss. With the fusion of the worlds, some people have lost their memories. But not all. To this end, you can choose if your character retains their memory, or has lost it. If you have multiple characters, please have one of them having lost their memory to keep a healthly ratio of memory vs memory loss. This allows for interesting dynamics between people that once knew each other.
A huge example of this is Sephiroth having lost his memory. He will have no knowledge why people that retained their memory dislike and fear him. It allows the roleplayer controlling Sephiroth to take the character in new directions that would not before have been possible. So, please keep in mind that trying out memory loss is not a handicap, but rather a chance for more character development
